If you operate a Cloud POS group where there is more than one store or stock location, you may find certain situations occur where you would like to prevent a location from appearing on your Ecommerce site.
Some examples might include:
- a location that is closing down
- a location that is seasonal, e.g. a ‘pop-up shop’
- a location that is used to ring-fence stock for shows and events
- a location that is used to ring-fence stock for business-to-business / contract sales
In these situations, please contact the Citrus-Lime Support Team, who will be able to remove the stock location from your Ecommerce site (and also add it back on, if and when required).
Please make sure you understand the following impacts of this change:
- All the stock levels for this location will be removed from your Ecommerce site
- The location's opening hours will no longer show on your Ecommerce site
- The location will be removed as a Click & Collect location on your Ecommerce site
- If you often transfer items to fulfil Special Order requirements at the blocked location, it is important that these transfers are created regularly and quickly in the Back Office. Otherwise, there is a small risk that you could sell items online that you actually require for transfers. Please speak to the Citrus-Lime Support Team if you think this might apply to your situation, and they'll be happy to advise you.
Click & Collect Locations
If you would just like to stop customers from collecting orders at a particular location, and don't need to block its stock entirely, please follow the steps in this article instead:
How do I set my store as a Click and Collect location?
An example might be a warehouse. You'd be happy for stock from your warehouse to be available for customers to purchase online, but you wouldn't want anyone collecting their order from that location.
