If you have an ecommerce site on the Citrus-Lime platform, an XML sitemap is a useful addition, as it helps to lead Google to all your important pages.  This can be beneficial for SEO purposes.

There are various free sitemap generation tools available, such as https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

Within Cloud MT, there is the functionality to manually upload a sitemap.  From the main menu in Cloud MT, navigate to Site Management and then Store Configuration, and scroll to the section entitled Sitemap Upload.  

Here, you can upload the sitemap you have created with your sitemap generation tool of choice:

Customers on the Ecommerce Basics and Ecommerce Pro packages can take advantage of this free-to-use functionality.  

When you start to use a sitemap, you should make this a regular part of your ecommerce maintenance processes, so that the sitemap stays relevant.  An old sitemap can have a negative SEO impact, as it will index out of date content.

Whilst you can upload your own sitemap using the above method, if you have subscribed to the Ecommerce Pro Plus package, you are entitled to make use of our Scheduled Sitemap Service, where we will set up a recurring task to automatically create and upload a fresh sitemap on a weekly basis.
