    Workshop Module // How do I view a Workshop Job status at POS?

    When creating or working on a Workshop Job, you can set a status on the job to track the progress of the job. You can create your own order statuses to best suit the processes you follow in your store.

    If a customer calls to check on the status of a job, you can bring this up within the Point of Sale to keep them in the loop.

     


    Checking the current status of a Workshop Job

    1) To view the status of a workshop job in the Point Of Sale, from the POS screen, you need to view the list of your open orders. There are several ways to do this.

    a) Click on the clipboard icon in the top right:

     

    OR

     

    b) Click on the clipboard icon on the left hand side to open the Customer Orders menu, then click Recall Orders:

     

    OR

     

    c) Set the customer on the transaction, and click on the number of open orders that flashes underneath their name on the right:

     

    2) On the list of open orders, use the Type filter to only show Workshop jobs. Or you can use the column headers to search for a specific order using the Order No, Customer Name, Service Item and so on:

     

    3) The Order Status column will display the current status of each order:

     

     

    4) As an additional safety mechanism, to prevent workshop jobs from being completed in POS before they have been completed in Workshop Module, you will see this warning when trying to tender an incomplete workshop job through POS:
