When a supplier brings out a new product, you'll probably want to order it as soon as possible – however, you can't put an item onto a Purchase Order unless there's an Item record for it in the Back office. So we've added a new feature, where you can create a new Item record directly from within a Purchase Order, meaning you can add it to that Purchase Order straightaway.
Creating a new item to add it to a Purchase Order
- Create your Purchase Order as usual.
- Use the Scan or type to search bar at the top to either scan the barcode of the item you want to add, or type in the product name or code, then hit Enter. If your search terms don't match any results, you'll see a message like this:

- Click on Here to bring up the Create Item pop-up:

- Fill in the information for the item and click Create. If you see a message like this, that means that there's already an existing item using that Item Lookup Code:

- The new Item record will be created and this item will be added to your Purchase Order.
