    Cloud POS // What's in the August 2025 hotpatch?

    We’ve been listening closely to your feedback on Back Office 2.0, and we’re going to be rolling out a range of updates and fixes to make your experience smoother, faster, and more intuitive. Here are the details of what's included in this release:


    Back Office General

    New Features 

    • Store Names will now be present in the Email Header for platform-generated emails, making emails look more professional and branded. 
    • When printing labels, Auto Select will default to the most recently used label printer from the list.
    • Added multi-select filtering to a variety of grids, giving you more precise control to filter data exactly how you need it.

    Improvements

    • We've removed the automatic print pop-up for A4 documents in Back Office and POS.
    • Updated grid auto-search to wait longer before running, reducing interruptions for users and making it easier to finish typing before results load. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum* 
    • Adjusted column widths can now be saved as part of a user's custom grid layout.
    • Improved translations across many areas to make functionality more intuitive. 
    • The Payment Reference is now available on Payout Transactions on the CitrusPay Payouts page. 
    • We’ve improved the Item Quick Search loading state in Back Office by reducing multiple spinners to a single indicator for a smoother experience. 
    • The Email Newsletter Integration status checker now fully supports Omnisend.
    • We've moved grid totals on Purchase Orders, Transfers, the Item Inventory Grid, and the Offline Inventory Grid to the bottom of the grids to make them more compact. 

    Bug Fixes

    • We have removed the Live Chat Widget shortcut from Back Office 1.0 and Workshop Module, as it was interfering with Back Office 2.0 functionality when used simultaneously. The widget will continue to be available via the help menu (top right) and in Back Office 2.0 and POS.  *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum* 
    • We’ve updated the Items grid so that ‘Show Inactive Items’ now stays off when navigating to and from the items grid, unless retailers choose to enable it. 
    • We've resolved a rare issue in the Back Office that could have prevented retailers from adding SIM supplier reorder numbers.

    Purchase Orders

    New Features 

    • We've added multi-select Supplier and Store filtering to Purchase Order and Transfers grids.
    • Added the ability to print 40-col order receipts from the Customer Orders view.
    • There is now a keyboard shortcut (CTRL + E) to open the Purchase Order and Transfer edit panel. 

    Improvements

    • We've changed the way autosave works for Purchase Order and Transfer edit, to allow individual fields to be saved without a full refresh of the grid.
    • Users can now view and filter for open/closed/all Purchase Orders & Transfers on the Goods In page.
    • We've enhanced Purchase Orders and Goods In grids to retain visual indicators of edited values, making it easier for retailers to track changes at a glance.
    • Printing labels and committing stock now happen with one button click.
    • In US groups, we have added a toggle to ‘Show Other Suppliers’ when using the SIM catalogue on a Purchase Order. 

    Bug Fixes

    • We've improved label printing from Purchase Orders and Transfers by applying a logical sort order, making large labelling tasks faster, more organised, and easier for retailers to manage.
    • Scanning an MPQ item in Goods In will now automatically fill the box with the MPQ quantity. 
    • We’ve fixed layout issues on the Commit Stock panel so buttons now display correctly on smaller screens. 

    POS

    New Features 

    • The name of the store will now display on customer communications from CloudPOS.

    Improvements

    • We’ve improved session handling to remember your current page on logout and added a button for quicker Back Office access.
    • Added the ability to convert a Special Order into a Layaway so that users have more control over order type conversions. 
    • Updated POS to show eCommerce payment details by default, giving retailers instant visibility of security information to help spot potential fraud faster.
       

    Bug Fixes 

    • Fixed an issue where the value of the deposit became incorrect if the user copied and pasted the value with a comma in it. 
    • Resolved an issue with Quick Switch where logging in via another tab caused an error. 

    Stock Takes

    Improvements

    • We've added 'Bin Location' as a column on the Calculate screen of Stock takes.
    • Item Lookup Code link functionality has been added to the Count page, the Calculate page, and the Closed page of Stock Takes. 

    Item 

    New Features

    • Added the item description to the top panel of the item card, making it easier to identify items and view existing details while editing.

    Improvements

    • When copying an item, the Item Lookup Code and Description fields will now populate from the source item with a ‘Copy-’ prefix.
    • Added an 'Add Alias' button to the child items grid for matrix items.
    • We've widened the Description column when creating child items in matrix products.
    • Modified the Create button in the Items panel, making it smaller and right-aligned to reduce accidental clicks and improve workflow accuracy.  *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum* 

    Bug Fixes

    • We fixed a bug where applying Matrix Templates ordered attributes alphabetically by default, rather than in the logical order the attributes were intended to be in.
    • Matrix parent active status now automatically changes when it gains or loses child items. 
    • We’ve resolved an issue in the Item Megasearch where entering a space before your search term prevented highlighting from working correctly.
    • Fixed an issue on Item Imports where the brand dropdown in the template was not showing in alphabetical order. 
    • The quantity link on the inventory grids now opens the stock enquiry panel. 
    • We’ve fixed an issue in SIM that allowed duplicate item lookup codes to be imported on Matrix Parents.

    Customer/Customer Orders

    Improvements

    • We've updated the Customer Orders page so that when you click on an Item Lookup Code, the Item Card will open in a new tab, making it easy to switch between orders and item details without losing your place.
    • The Order Lines panel now displays order information below the Order Number for better visibility. 
    • The Customer Communications panel is now movable and resizable when opened on the Customer Orders and Customer Order Lines pages. 

    Bug Fixes 

    • Fixed an issue where the State in the delivery address was missing from full-size transaction receipts when viewed from a customer's Purchase History. 
    • We’ve updated customer address handling so State/Country names keep their correct casing, ensuring accurate formatting for US addresses in both POS and Back Office.

    Wizards

    Improvements

    • Changed the way autosave works for Wizards to allow individual fields to be saved without a full refresh of the grid - this reduces delays, enabling users to complete wizards faster. 
    • We’ve made ‘Show Bulk Editing’ enabled by default in Wizards. 

    Bug Fixes 

    • We’ve fixed the Manage View feature in the Item Detail Wizard so column changes now apply correctly.

    Workshop

    Improvements

    • We've implemented a new navigation in the Workshop module, which enables users to route to Back office 2.0, Customer Rewards, Cloud Reports and POS. 
    • All links to the Back Office in the Workshop module will now point to Back Office 2.0. 
    • Made the Workshop tag more intuitive. 

    CitrusPay

    Improvements

    • Gratuity/Tipping will now be handled by terminal settings instead of manual set-up against registers.

    API 

    New Features 

    • Data returned via the API will be returned in timestamp order, making data syncs easier.
