    How do I find the Serial Number for an item that I sold to a customer?

    What is a serial number?

    A Serialised item carries all of the same standard characteristics of a Standard item. For Serialised items every individual item in stock will carry its own unique serial number.  The system will record the Serial Number against the transaction when an item is sold.  This allow you to associate a specific product to a sale or customer.

    For example, when selling a bike you can assign the frame number as the Serial Number.

    Using the ‘Who Bought What’ report to find the Serial Number

    Within Cloud Reports, there is a report found under Customer Reports called the Who Bought What report;

    This report lets you see who bought which items from your store.

    1) Choose the store, and set your data parameters before clicking Generate Report:

    Once the report has generated, you will be able to see all of the items purchased by customers for that store and that date range.

    2) To see Serial Numbers alongside this data, you will first need to click on ‘Column Select’:

    By clicking on Column Select, you will open the Column Chooser:

    The Column Chooser allows you to add or remove columns by dragging and dropping the Column name into grid.

    3) Drag Serial Number 1, Serial Number 2 and Serial Number 3 into the grid - the arrows indicate where it will sit:

    4) You can now see the Serial Numbers alongside the rest of the date such as the Item Lookup Code, Description, Customer Name ect:
