This article explains how cost prices are uploaded to your eCommerce site, for both matrix & non-matrix products.
All cost prices are derived from your "local" sometimes referred to as your "main web store", cost prices from additional stock locations are not considered.
If you're unsure which of your stores is your "main web store", you can view the information in Merchant Tools at the following page /ssl/management/ClickandCollectManager.aspx. The store with "use local inventory" checked is the main web store.
For Non-Matrix products
We upload the cost price from your main web store to the eCommerce site.
For Matrix products
We upload the Average Cost Price based on the available stock units and cost price across all of the child items in the matrix.
Example 1 -
Matrix item with two child items...
[Small] Cost = £7.50 Available Stock = 5 Total Value = £37.50
[Medium] Cost = £10.00 Available Stock = 5 Total Value = £50.00
Total Value = £87.50
Total Available Stock = 10
Average Cost = £8.75 (£87.50 / 10)
Example 2 -

[Small] Cost = £6.50 Available Stock = 0 Total Value = £0.00

If there are no stock units against any of the child items, then we use the maximum cost from the child items.
