This article describes how you can change a quote to a Work Order, and also how you can change a Work Order/Layaway into a workshop job:
1) Recall the order you wish to convert onto the transaction screen:
2) Navigate to the Actions menu at the top right hand side of the Point Of Sale screen:
3) Within the Actions menu, you will see a button for converting the order type. In this example, we are converting a Quote to a Work Order and therefore the below button shows:
If the original order was a Work Order or Layaway, the below button would be available instead:
When converting to a Workshop Job, you will also be prompted to add notes and a reference to the job in the same way you would when creating a workshop job from scratch:
Once the order has been converted, you can continue to process it in the standard way you would do for that order type.
