Cloud POS // What's in the August 2026 update?

We are updating Cloud POS. Here are the details of what is included in this update:

    Back Office

    New Features

    • We have added the ability to set a workshop specific email address allowing retailers to keep workshop job queries seperate from general customer service queries. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • You can now see the Profit and Profit Margin for Kit Items, allowing you to quickly see how custom pricing will affect your profits.

    Improvements

    • We have added an 'Open in Workshop' option to the Actions menu in Goods In, allowing users to jump directly to the relevant Workshop job when receiving items. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Booking Date and Booking Date + Time can now be used in custom created communication templates. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • We have added a non-default 'Service Items' column to Manage View on Customer Orders and Orders & Workshop Jobs. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Improved grid column sorting across Cloud POS with a new sort menu that appears on hover.
    • Made several improvements to combo boxes across the system, including smarter keyboard navigation with the arrow keys, auto-highlighting the top result when only one match is found and fixing overlap on small screens.
    • We have clarified the UI for customising the Adyen SFO1 terminal in Back Office, including removing the URL image upload option to ensure all uploaded images comply with Adyen's size requirements.

    POS

    Improvement

    • We have added 'Storage Slot' as a non-default column in the Recall Order grid, allowing for more options to locate orders.

    Workshop

    New Feature

    • The Kanban board now shows a job count in each status column header. The count updates to show how many jobs match the current filters so it's easy to see workload at a glance. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    Improvements

    • Jobs marked as Important now appear at the top of their Board columns, ensuring high-priority work is always visible regardless of how many jobs are in a column. The chosen sort order is still respected within both Important and non-Important jobs. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Users now have the option to sort jobs on the Kanban board by Date created (Old to New) or (New to Old). *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Calendar appointment blocks now display a coloured border matching the job's status rather than turning red for overdue jobs, making it easier to understand the status of scheduled work at a glance, overdue jobs still show the bell icon and red due date text. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • New message notifications are more prominent in the workshop job edit panel, allowing for greater visibility of when a customer replies.
    • The 'Filters Active' warning now only shows when a scheduled job would actually be hidden by active filters.
    • Workshop calendar now remembers selected filters between sessions, preserving a user's preferred calendar view when they log back in.
    • Item descriptions on job cards now expand to fill the width of the description column, making more of the description visible when the column is resized. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Storage slots are now printed on 40 Col receipts.
    • Users are now prompted about their unsaved changes when they navigate to Back Office pages from a Workshop job. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    • We have added the Manage View functionality to the Workshop Job items grid. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • We have added a ‘Quantity Available’ column to the Workshop job Items grid. This displays to the user the actual free stock available of that item (takes into account committed items). *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Multi-item select is available on the Add Items option on Workshop Jobs, so you can tick multiple items instead of adding them one by one. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    Bugs

    • We've fixed an issue affecting US retailers where Workshop calendar jobs would disappear when navigating between days in week view.
