Cloud POS // What's in the October 2026 release?

We are updating Cloud POS. Here are the details of what is included in this release:

    Workshop Quotes

We have introduced a new order type called Workshop Quotes, allowing service teams to create and price up jobs from the Point of Sale without committing any stock, meaning quotes can be managed alongside Workshop Jobs without the risk of triggering unintended stock commitments.

Once a customer approves the quote, it can be converted to a full Workshop Job in a single step from the Point of Sale, Workshop board, calendar, list view, or job card. Quotes can also be sent to the customer as a PDF by email or SMS, making it easy to share pricing before any work begins. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    CitrusPay

Retailers using CitrusPay now receive an email notification when a dispute is raised against them, including a link to the disputes page in Back Office and guidance on next steps. We've also given retailers the ability to download a monthly fee summary statement from Cloud POS, giving bookkeepers and accountants a clear breakdown of transaction fees, sales processed, and net payouts for each calendar month, automatically generated on the 5th of each month for the previous period.

    Back Office

    New Features

    • Added multi-store copying to Purchase Orders in Back Office, creating one open PO per selected store; plus a new Copy Transfer action for Transfers that still allows you to edit sending and receiving stores.
    • Added a new “Default Email Sender” setting to the Store setup page, allowing retailers to configure whether emails sent from Back Office and POS come from the store's customer services address, the cashier's email, or the sales rep's email.
    • Inbound text messages from unrecognised numbers now automatically create a new customer record, ensuring retailers never miss a message from a customer who texts them for the first time. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • We have also added the ability to ‘map’ your main store contact number (even if this is a landline) to Cloud POS, so that if a customer texts that number, you'll receive a Cloud POS text message. Contact the Support Team if you'd like to set this up.
    • The Company field on customer cards now suggests existing company names as you type, helping to keep company names consistent across records.
    • Kit items can now be added to Purchase Orders and Transfers, automatically expanding into their individual component lines at the correct quantities, saving purchasing teams from having to look up and add each part manually.
    • Retailers now have the ability to alter the Stock Turn Target in the Back Office.

    Improvements

    • Added a Sales Rep column to the Customer Orders, Customer Order Lines, and Orders & Workshop Jobs grids in Back Office, making it easy for sales reps to filter and view only their own orders and quotes.
    • Updated "Workshop" order type to read "Workshop Job" throughout POS, Back Office, and Workshop, improving clarity now that Workshop Quotes have been introduced as a separate order type.
    • Made several space-saving improvements to the Message Hub on iPad, including removing the phone number from individual conversations, reducing padding in the filters area, shortening toggle labels, and aligning elements more consistently.
    • We've improved the loading state of Purchase Orders and Transfers to prevent empty grids temporarily appearing when loading larger POs/Transfers.
    • Improved background validation of customer mobile numbers when scheduling service reminders.

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed a bug where selecting all items in the label wizard grid was not correctly displaying the number of labels to be printed.
    • Fixed an issue where selecting items using the keyboard in search and select menus would visually tick the checkbox but fail to register the selection, causing the Add Items button to do nothing.
    • Improved the performance of the Transactions page in Back Office for large retailers, reducing the frequency of timeouts when loading and filtering transaction data.
    • We've fixed an issue where retailers using only Milestone (Zebra) label printers would encounter an error when loading the label printing section on item cards and kit item pages in Back Office.
    • Resolved an issue where items belonging to a kit were appearing multiple times in the wizard item select grid, ensuring each item now shows exactly once with an accurate row count.
    • We've fixed an issue where SIM import was incorrectly counting existing child items against the matrix parent's maximum, causing new child items to fail to import even when there was room for them.
    • We've fixed an issue where the tooltip on the "Member of" field on an item card incorrectly displayed "Assembly" instead of "Kit" for kit parent items.
    • Resolved an issue where the AI commodity code generation feature was failing to generate commodity codes from item details.
    • We've fixed an issue where the Arrival Date on the CitrusPay Payouts report was displaying as 31/12/1 for Irish retailers. Payouts without an estimated arrival date now show a status such as "Credited" or "Under review" instead, making it clearer that payments are being processed as expected.
    • We've fixed a bug where Purchase Orders were not matching Supplier Invoices due to a rounding mismatch.
    • Fixed a scrolling bug in modal windows, where the mouse wheel was blocked and only the scrollbar itself would respond.
    • We've fixed an issue where navigating between pages on the Stock Take Count grid would trigger an unnecessary browser warning about unsaved changes.

    POS

    New Features

    • We've added a new summary modal of Workshop Orders that can be accessed in the Recall Orders menu of the POS. It summarises the Order information, the Workshop information and gives a link to open the order in Workshop. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Added the ability to override the tax rate on individual transaction lines in POS, giving retailers full control over tax per line. This will be particularly useful for B2B sales scenarios where specific items may need to be tax-exempt, with the override persisting through quotes, orders, and returns. Please contact Citrus-Lime if you'd like this feature switched on.
    • Full-size receipts and invoices now show net (excl. VAT) Price and Line Total values, with discount details hidden, for business customers and on company copies of order invoices in VAT groups. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • The Payment Links action panel now allows cashiers to send a Payment Link to customers by SMS and/or email in a single step, with the option to attach a pro forma invoice, removing the need to copy links manually or navigate to separate screens to send communications. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    Improvements

    • Added Sales Rep names to Transaction and Order Receipts/Invoices.
    • There is now a prompt in POS for Spanish groups when a transaction exceeds €3,000 without a customer or NIF (tax number) set. This helps cashiers meet the legal requirement without fully restricting the sale.
    • Added receipt scanning to the Return Transaction modal in Cloud POS, allowing the scan field to now accept a transaction number as well as an item barcode, so you no longer have to go through Search Transactions.
    • Added the ability to send receipts via SMS from the Transaction Options screen in POS, alongside the existing email option. There is also a new register setting to default SMS receipts on, and a simplified customer linking flow that makes it easier to add or update contact details without leaving the screen.
    • The Recall Orders menu can now be filtered by Sales Rep.
    • We've updated the error message shown when recalling a mix of Quotes and other order types in POS to read, making it clearer regardless of which specific order types are being combined.
    • When a Sales Rep is set, the Recall Orders menu will now automatically filter to that Rep's orders.
    • Altered the "Save Order" button to include the order type, e.g. “Save Workshop Job”.
    • The time of a transaction is now included on the Returns grid in POS, making it easier for users to locate the relevant transaction.
    • Made printing of the 40-Col X and Z reports optional on the Close Batch screen, where the report previously printed automatically and opened the cash drawer. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Improved column header/column content alignment.
    • We've updated the warning message shown when scanning a Kit item in a return transaction to make it clear that kit items cannot be scanned directly, alongside assembly and matrix items.
    • Cloud POS now automatically refreshes when an update is deployed, replacing the previous timed dialog, with a brief notification confirming the update once the page reloads.

    Bug Fixes

    • The change calculator on the Open and Close Batch screens is now visible to New Zealand retailers.
    • We've fixed a bug where discounts were not being applied correctly to any identical items if they have different prices set.
    • We've resolved an issue where the Scan for Pickup box was not autofocusing after changing Sales Rep.
    • We've fixed a bug where serial items have their serial number reserved even when switching the order to be a quote.
    • We've resolved an issue where Adyen card refunds processed on a different till to the original payment would appear on the wrong till's X/Z reports, ensuring refunds now show against the till that actually processed them for accurate end-of-day reconciliation.
    • We've fixed an issue where kit items were sending an incorrect combined weight to eCommerce, meaning shipping rules are now applied correctly based on the packed weight of the kit's component items.
    • Fixed an issue in which using the “Search Items” button on the Return Transactions modal added the items to the transaction. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    Workshop

    New Features

    • Workshop users can now print a new 40-Col Tag for bikes, with key details such as the customer surname, service item and storage slot prominently displayed for easy identification, plus job information and a scannable barcode. The new tag is available on supported Star Cloud printers, with an option to hide customer details when printing tags. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    Improvements

    • Customer surname now appears in large bold text at the top of the full-size Workshop Tag, making it easy for mechanics to identify which bike belongs to which customer from a distance, removing the need to write it on manually. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • The customer communication panel can now be kept open after sending a message, making it more efficient to send multiple communications to customers. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Added automatic refreshing to Board View. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Added a Filters button to the Open Orders list in Workshop Calendar view, where a single panel now holds the scheduled/unscheduled toggle, an order status filter (including unallocated jobs) and an Include Completed Jobs option alongside the existing Order by control. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed drag-and-drop scheduling by enabling automatic calendar scrolling when dragging jobs, making it easier to place unscheduled jobs into time slots outside the current view.
    • Resolved an issue with Workshop Scheduler hours not displaying correctly in Calendar View when set to non-hour times.
