Cloud MT // What are the first steps to getting set up on the eBay Integration?

If you have an ecommerce site with Citrus-Lime and would like to get set up to use our eBay integration, the first step is to contact our Success Team, who will be able to discuss adding this functionality with you. You can reach the Success Team through Live Chat (select 'Sales' as the department), or by calling 01229 588628, option 4.

We would also recommend watching our webinar on the Amazon and eBay integrations:

We also have an article explaining more about the features of the integration: ebay FAQs

Once the Success Team has agreed that you would like to proceed, the Support Team will take charge of your setup. When a member of the Support Team reaches out to you, they will ask you to take the following steps.

Part 1: If you already have an eBay account

    • You will be asked to process any outstanding eBay orders.
    • You will be asked to end any existing eBay listings. The integration will not interact with pre-existing eBay listings - it will only work with listings that were originally made from Cloud MT.
    • Please note that you should not take the two steps above until you have confirmed with the Support Team that you are ready to start using the integration. Otherwise, you will be ending your current listings prematurely.

Part 1: If you do not have an eBay account

    • You will be asked to register as a business seller with eBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/. This will be an option during your registration.
    • You will also need a PayPal business account, which you should already have if you are using Citrus-Lime ecommerce.

    Part 2

We will then ask you to provide us with your eBay login details, and the PayPal username that is associated with your account.

The Support Team will then proceed with the technical aspects of the integration.

You should also consider your product pricing at this stage. We will use the MSRP for eBay pricing unless there is a value in eBay Price for the product in Cloud POS.  If a price is present in eBay Price, this will be used as the selling price on eBay. Please see the following article if you need support with price levels: How do I use price levels?

This can be done on a per-product basis i.e. you can fill in eBay Price for some products and not others. You can also use the Modify Item Price and Sale Price wizard to adjust pricing in bulk.

Once your integration is live, you will be ready to start listing on eBay from Cloud MT. At this stage, we would recommend reading the following articles:
