    POS Registers and Licences

    Citrus-Lime POS Register usage

    Citrus-Lime Cloud POS is cloud-based and can be accessed from any location/device.

    Cloud POS Backoffice, Workshop Module, Picklist and Cloud Reports, can be accessed at any time by any number of users.

    Cloud POS registers, where transactions take place, also can be accessed from any location. However, individual registers cannot have concurrent users. This means, if you pay for two registers, only two users can access a transactional register at any one time. They also must be using separate registers.

    There is no limit to the number of registers your retail system can have, but each register will incur an increase in your monthly support.

    From November 2017, any users attempting to use a register concurrently will be warned by a message that will pop up frequently on the POS screen. This warning informs the user that the register is being used elsewhere and that they should log out from that additional location.

    From early 2018, the warning will be removed and instead, users will not be able to log in to a register more than once simultaneously.

    This does not mean that POS is fixed to one location, only that you will have to log out of a register in one location to open it in another.

    It’s worth noting, the POS part of the system is for creating and completing transactions only. All other functions, that can be completed within POS, can also be found within Back office e.g. reviewing and creating customers, viewing open customer orders etc.

    If your business requires more registers, please contact your account manager to discuss this further.

    Accessing Pick List and Workshop Module

    We have had a number of queries asking if register licences affect the ability to access the workshop module or pick list. Whilst it is true that you must be logged in to gain access to the workshop module and pick list, you must ensure that you are using the correct route to access the Workshop/Pick List functionality.

    To access the Workshop Module/Pick List, you must first navigate and login to the Backoffice, not POS.

    Using the Workshop Module as an example;

    1. Go to https://pos.citruslime.com and log in. This takes you to the BackOffice (not POS);
    2. Now that you are logged in, you can amend the URL to https://pos.citruslime.com/workshopux.

    This works in the same way for the Pick List

    You do not need to be logged into POS to gain access either of these areas.

    If you see the warning appear...

    If you see the warning it is because the register that you are using is already been accessed elsewhere.

    To remove the warning, simply closing down the second register window will not work. You must completely log out of the additional register and log back in again, without selecting a POS register.
