How do I use the Order Line Status feature?

Enhanced Back Order Management/Order Line Status

The status of individual lines on customer orders can be recorded on the Customer Order Lines page in the Back Office.  This can be accessed from the main menu in Back Office, by going to Customer Orders, then Customer Order Lines.

You can create your own statuses to apply to orders, to help make these most suitable to your business processes.  To do this, from the main menu in the Back Office, go to Setup and then Configuration.  Locate the section entitled Customer Orders and Accounts and tick the Enable Order Line Statuses tickbox:

Click on Save Pending Change in the bottom right.

Refresh the page and then go back to the main menu, and under the Customer Orders heading you will now see an extra menu item titled Order Line Statuses

When you navigate to this page, you will see the existing order line statuses, and have the option to create New ones and Edit or Delete existing statuses:

Back on the Customer Order Lines page, if the current free stock is not sufficient to cover the quantity on order, you are able to set a status against that line on the order.

To set a status, click on Actions, then on Edit Order Line Status. Then choose a status from the dropdown menu that pops up.

You can filter order lines by status to view those that require an action using the dropdown in the Order Line Status column header:

    Hiding old Order Line Statuses

You can delete any unused Order Line Statuses using the red Delete icon on the Order Line Statuses page. If you want to get rid of an old Order Line Status that you used to use, but is no longer relevant, you can make it inactive by clicking on the blue Edit icon, unticking the ‘Active’ box and then clicking ‘Save’.
